My Baby loved this swing.  I never had any problems with mine.  I found it more than robust enough and considering my youngest baby was 11 1b 14oz when she was born it certainly did have to work hard.  I would recommend it, especially if your baby likes too be rocked to sleep.  My only warning is, don't turn it off once they are asleep to try and save batteries as they wake up, buy rechargeable batteries instead.
