Bad e-bay experience - warning to assist others to avoid this sort of thing.

Having been unable to buy Police Concert tickets on their official site in March 2007, I then bid on e-bay via a seller known as 'theglens2857' and won two for a concert dated 15th October 2007 in Manchester.  After 'winning' the bid, and paying £250 (inc p+p) for the tickets via PayPal, I received a message from the seller, theglens2857 aka Craig Heron, New Cumnock, Ayrshire, telling me that the tickets would be sent direct to me from the promoters, when they were released closer to the concert date. Remember, that transaction was March and the concert was due to be played in October, seven months later, ie, well outside the 60 day fault reporting limit. (I realise all this in retrospect).

The tickets did arrive - 1 day before the concert, and not the seats that had been advertised on the ebay site.  E-mails exchanged during which I was promised (a few times) a £50 refund.  It never arrived but, as I have just discovered tonight - traveled to another city for the rescheduled concert, as Sting had had a sore throat for the originally scheduled one-  and refused admission - the original seller of the tickets had somehow managed to claim a full refund for them on 18th October 2007.   So this charming little person has had £250 from me, just under £200 from the concert promoters, caused a huge amount of inconvenience for me and I have every intention of assisting the law to put wrongs right.
