First thing out of the way i am not talking about e books or CD that teach or give you proper information such as "How to build 100 items of furniture" and "How to strip and ***** engine" These can be of a good quality and a wealth of information the would cost a lot more purchased from the high street. I am talking about money making schemes.

The purchasing of information to make money is very dubious subject. View the following titled examples:-

1) "Earn £750 a week on ebay"

2) "The best Wholesalers get items cheap"

3) "Earn money gambling over £1500 a week"

4) "Get the latest nokia (or whatever) for £10"

There are hundreds of others but i would say 95 out of 100 are useless and can be obtained for FREE from bittorrent sites or if you know how to use a search engine. The other 5 can contain useful titbits of information which is mainly common sense.

Lets assume all the above items are priced between 99p and £10 ( Although i have seen people pay hundreds of pounds for these items )

Item 1

Lets first of all say this. If you worked out a way to earn £750 pound a week would you tell anyone about it? And if you did sell the information would you sell it for £10 answer is no. If i done this i would first post 200 ebay auctions saying "Earn £750 a week on ebay" then i would hope that 75 people purchased this item for £10 each (Thus earning myself £750. Then i would mail you the information telling you to do exactly the same that i had done above.

Item 2

This are usually a outdated list sold by someone who has bought it off ebay trying to make a few quid. Off on a tangent if you buy some information that says "Full resale rights" meaning that when you have purchased the information you can sell it yourself, How good could it be? Not exactly a secret.

Most of these wholesalers only deal with proper formed businesses i.e a LTD company and are subject to minimum orders meaning that you cant just purchase one CD you have to buy 50 or 100. This can be expensive and mostly out of reach of most people. Try typing into yahoo or google "Wholesalers in london" or "Jewellery wholesalers" most of time and with half hours searching you will find numerous. 

Item 3

Earn money gambling! Great remembering 3 things first thing is that you can LOSE any bet this is why it is called gambling. Second thing is that if it was that easy we would all be doing it. Third item is that most of these rely on you having a good starting pot i.e £1000 pounds. So lets just say a quick one. If you bet £10 on a favourite in the first race and wins you walk with profit. If the first loses then you double up on the second race taking into account that you have to recoup losses from the first race etc problem is that after 5 races without a winner your next bets have gone upto £200 pounds.

Item 4

Pyramid scheme

You purchase this info thinking that it will point you to a website selling the latest Nokia for a tenner (Yeah right) Again if you knew how to get a Nokia for ten pounds would you tell anyone about it? No.These require you to go to a website sign up and buy something for an addition ten pounds (so now you have spent £20) then you have to get an additional 50 people to do the same as you have. Thus earning the website £500 pounds for which you get a £150 phone.

Just ask yourself if you knew a way to earn you hundreds if not thousands of pounds why would you sell it for £10?

Fruit machines lovely! You know American casinos make more money from fruit machines than anything else, that should tell you something for a start. Two items :- Fruit Machine Keys - These are a waste of money. These keys claim to give you an advantage however they do not. They give out very little information about how much the machine has took and how much money is in the hoppers but this does not help. A machine is set to pay out a percentage of all the money you put in i.e around 70%. This does not mean that if you put in £10 you will get £7 back. It all down to luck and if a machine want to pay out it will. Fruit machine manipulator - Another one of them. First and foremost let me say i never used one.  Now do a search for fruit machine manipulators and look at what they are. Find something strange? Yes they are one and the same thing. That makes me think that they are nothing but alarm key fobs sold for a good profit.
