BEWARE of people selling gift vouchers for a really good buy it now price usually featured items which appear at the top of the first auction page you come to. The only ones I have seen so far are Next vouchers, I fell for this scam paid £40 for £55 worth of vouchers and they never arrived so I checked this persons feedback again and found that 7 other people had left negative feedback all for the same item, Next vouchers. Now this person has made all their feedback comments private. This seller has purchased loads of items for 1p to make there feedback look very good to any buyer they are a new registered user and I think there is more than one user name as I have seen another user name doing exactly the same thing.

What to look out for:

  • new users probably registered in the last 30 days
  • items are listed in the featured items for a price that seems to good
  • check the sellers items what they have either bought or sold
  • if there are a lot of items bought for 1p then buy at your own risk that auction is likely to be a scam
