Wow.... Can you believe how many Wayne Rooney signed items are currently on Ebay. It has to be said its very impressive how so many people manage to get his signature! Yet strange as it seems when ever I contact these sellers, to ask where they got it signed, I seem to come across the same answer.. "They don't reply". Why is it? Well lets see. I've had two Rooney autographs since I started roaming the world for signatures. One signature was on an England shirt next to the number 9. It is on my office wall and those who have been fortunate enough to enter my office look at it in admiration. Yet they never offer a penny for it. Basically because it reads To........ Best Wishes. The second time he signed was on a photograph when I got him pretty much off guard about 18 months ago. Ive had a shirt with his name on it in my car this entire year. Ive been too the training ground and on one occasion he was forced to stop by a tractor that blocked him in. Did he sign? NO! Ive been too hotels at which United have stayed. I even took my Mum on one occasion to see if he would sign for the little old lady.... again he refused! Ive tried the airport when he flew home once at 2am in the morning, he refused then! and finally after he checked into a team hotel he went walking and shopping.... would he sign? Of course not! So I have to ask... How do these people get a Rooney signature! Your guess is as good as mine, I hate to suggest it but maybe its not Rooney signing. Maybe its a Rooney lookalike in someones living room who in actual fact doesnt look a thing like Rooney. Buying a signed Rooney item? Be careful! Always ask where it was signed and always ask for proof because if somebody has gone to the trouble of getting Rooney to sign a shirt or photo they should have gone to the trouble of taking a photo of the occasion.
