You may have spotted a lot of Gmail (or Googlemail) addresses popping up for sale, but did you know that they are free?
Google Mail is currently only offered as part of a preview release and limited test, and the only way you can obtain an account is via invitation from an existing member, which is what these ebayers are selling.
Many are being sold for just 1p (free p&p, as they are sent to the buyer via email), and for that you'd receive your invitation, and another feedback point, no problem.
Once you have an account you can then invite people yourself (or sell your invitations on!)
However, it's worth watching out for over-pricing, remember these are actually free accounts, yet I've been seeing them offered on ebay for more than just a few pence, and some people are even charging postage and packing when the invitation is sent via email!
As far as I'm aware there is nothing wrong with selling or buying these email addresses, I just wanted to point out that they are not charged for by Google.
