WRAPPING A VINYL RECORD - MY WAY
By KBS 500V ( shop name: Colt Sigma Music)
I have been selling items on eBay since November 2001 & one of my best selling items are vinyl records - mainly 45 RPM 7" singles - which I will show you the best way to wrap for shipping all over the U.K. & the world.
First you need some strong cardboard, some brown packing tape & a pair of scissors & a pencil
mark around the record sleeve the exact same size as the record
cut out two pieces of card - one for each side of the record
OK, now place the two bits of card on EACH side of the record
then get your brown paper & strong parcel tape ready
you will need to cut a nice sized piece of brown wrapping paper to go around the cardboard "sandwich"
fold half of the brown paper as shown above - stick the fold down onto the cardboard
then do the same with the other side of the paper - stick down with tape !
then fold the two ends as shown above...
then tape up a shown above - your record will be safe & sound in the mail !
now address your parcel & post with confidence!
You can use this method on 12" vinyl as well - you could put a sheet of bubble wrap under both sides of the vinyl as well for extra protection!
