The humble balloon is one of the most useful items to have. Be imaginative, be creative, just take time to think how you can use a balloon or heaps of balloons.

Having a party? Then don't forget the balloons. They produce a low cost decoration, a platform for a message and a means to introduce colour, shapes and design. Be it one balloon or many balloons, they are ideal for any age group, gender and interest. Everyone loves the sight of balloons.

Balloons are great for labelling presents. Simply tie on the message to the neck of the balloon or write your message on the balloon with a felt tip pen.  Do something different by giving out your party invitations on balloons.  A great sight seeing everyone walking around the world with floating invitations, rather than being stuffed in pockets or bags or at worst in the furthest part of a draw or cupboard never to be remembered.

How about that WEDDING RECEPTION and you know very few people!  Where am I supposed to go? Which room am I in  for the reception?  Where am I supposed to sit down?  oooOH, I am bursting for the toilet where is it? - USE THE HUMBLE BALLOON TO GUIDE YOUR GUESTS!!!!!!!!!.  Just tie, pin or clip the balloon ribbon to chairs, doors etc.  If you want them to be a floating direction, then don't forget to use helium.

Thinking of a party game for the kids-well don't forget the balloons and broad felt tip pens. Reject 'pass the parcel' go for 'pass the balloon'.  Start with a dot on the balloon.  As the music stops the holder must apply a face feature on the balloon.  The result may resemble a Picasso but nevertheless, great fun for the kids and they will all be the winners.  Remember, to use light coloured balloons to show the print.

Balloons are not just for parties. Try fighting the flab with a balloon.  Use a balloon as a prop in aerobics.  No strain and less pain!

For the creative ones among us, why not try face painting. Start your creativity by practising your skills on a balloon. Saves on getting the spots!

Balloons can be used in all areas of work and play and are a great tool in training and education.

Here are a few pointers on buying the humble balloon:
  • 9 or 10 inch latex balloons or lower are great for air fill but not so great for helium.  The helium will soak through too quickly and not last long.  If you do use this size then fill on the day of the event.
  • The graphics on air filled balloons will be upside down if filled with helium.
  • To define a helium balloon, the balloon tip will be at the bottom.  In air fill balloons the fill tip will be at the top.
  • Buy more balloons than you initially require - they do have this habit of bursting when you never expect.  Don't forget they are only humble BALLOONS!!!!!!!
  • Don't buy old balloons as they will over time start to disintegrate. Like everything else, they have a shelf life.
  • On buying balloons make sure you store them in a cool  temperature, free from excess heat or cold, otherwise they may not perform as you wish.
  • Always  use a balloon pump. Never, blow up a balloon by mouth. Firstly for Health & Safety reasons.  Secondly, it saves time, energy and less balloons burst as you are more in control.
  • To make blowing up a balloon easier, just loosen the balloon by stretching it slightly before inflating.
Have fun with balloons! Wishing you a great party from partysupplies-for-u.
