There is someone out there running false auctions usually on High end HiFi  Krell, Mark Levinson, Linn etc. You will usually be asked to mail him direct ....aol.com  wher you will be presented with an Ebay login screen. this is there purely to steal your ID details, the other method just has a link, usually "Click here"  where again you will be asked for login details. he often has about 100 items for sale and as soon as one fake ID has been shut down, he will spring up under another fake ID

To Recap, watch out for

1,  24 hour auctions

2, starting price is usually $99 not pounds

3, bidders identity kept private (so they can't be warned of the scam)

4, High end expensive stuff at silly start prices.( If it seems too good to be true, it is!!)
