Pratley Putty repairs to Shoestring

While in the Chagos Archipelago, south of the Maldives, where there are no people, no phones and no help, Shoestring was thrown on to a reef when the wind suddenly changed 180 degrees.3 hours of pounding on the reef put 7 holes into the hull, broke the rudder and bent the propeller and shaft. Fortunately we managed to winch the boat into deeper water as the tide was rising, but were furiously pumping all the time. With your Pratley Quickset Putty I dived over the side and jammed it into the biggest hole and by so doing managed to stem the flow and reduce pumping to every 20 minutes. This saved our lives and our vessel, We then beached Shoestring and effected a more permanent repair. While grinding out the putty I was convinced that the product had performed far better than I had expected, Had we not had your putty I venture to say that we would have lost Shoestring and I now fully endorse your product and will never be without it! It should be standard equipment on all ocean going yachts.
Many thanks for saving my life and Shoestring
