We Are Going To Remove The Spool,Wash And Lubricate Moving Parts.Also Removing The Handle And Plate And Lubricate Internally.

Well  when your fishing reel is clean,it then works much smoother and also lasts longer.The following shows how to clean and maintain fishing reels.

The CB6000 Reel.

Find a hard surface(say a bench or table)and throw a white sheet over.-Helps to locate small parts.

A.Wipe the outside of the reel with a moist warm soapy rag.This will remove the contaminants such as oil ,(or salt) if one is sea fishing.Remove the spool and wash all over with mild soapy water.

B.Carefully take out the winding handle.This is done by unscrewing the nut on the opposite side of reel.Carefully remove the side plate with a small screw driver.You can see now all the gears inside.So add "Special Fishing Reel Grease" on to the gears.Each year you should remove the old grease
 and lubricate  the internals with new grease.

C.Now with the "Fishing Reel Oil", lubricate any external moving parts such as the bale and anti-reverse lever.

Remember that fishing in salt water requires more maintenance than fresh water fishing.Make sure you clean your gear after every trip.To keep in perfect working order.
This will extend your gear for years ahead.
