Unplugged, held the < ^ > buttons at the top and plugged back in, then let go of < ^ > after 20 Seconds... hey presto!

You can update Pace 1000 and 2000 boxes by unplugging the box and holding down the standby button while plugging it back in, after a few second the display will say OK. Release the standby button. Then press the 4 buttons on the right of the LED display one at a time from the bottom upwards, and 4 3 2 1 will appear in the display. Then press OK. The STB will then do a forced download.

If the new code hasn't been added to the servers in your area it will remain as an NTL/Telewest menu.

Overall the VM software (which is the Telewest software rebranded) is better than the NTL one, in my opinion. It looks better, and I really like the fact that you can type in a channel on the Mini Guide to see what's on. The whole thing feels faster too.

One thing that really irritates me is that you can't press the back button to clear the Press Red bug. Doing so takes you back to the previous channel you were on, and that to me seems like a completely useless feature.

But overall I prefer it to what we had from NTL.
