Im so used to seeing fakes on a daily basis as I work in a company which sells offical LOL. I can usally tell straight away.

1. The links can often be quite thin, small, and NOT circular.

2. links look quite dirty and dark grey not a highly polished silver colour.

3.in between links look unfinished, best way to described would be it looks rusty (not brown) and it feels really un smooth.

4. quite often the links appear to have a line that runs around the centre of the ring.

5. on the bracelet there will be one larger link which is engraved  Links of London with the offical 3 'o' a bit like an half completed olyimpics logo! this is roughly about just under a 1cm wide and is clear to read. opposite this there should be '6 'split rings these are what you have on your house keys but a extremley small version! [can sometimes get on your nerves when trying to attach a charm! ; ) ].

. the charms are very easy to tell!

they once again look very dull and grey, they scratch easily and can also leave unsightly marks on your wrists, I have once seen a green wrist due to a girl having bought on off an ebayer who claimed it was offical but it was some ridiculous price of £40! well you get what you pay for!

charms quite often look smaller and flatter e.g the silver heart can often have a line that runs down the edge of it. inside the ballet shoes looks like some has spilled tippex in it and looks as it its got bubbles in it. the fairy godmother her wings are completley attached to her body and she has a very evil looking face.

ALL CHARMS HAVE THE LOL LOGO ON THEM!

do not get caught out.

the bracelets come in three sizes small, meduim and large. there is usally no change in  price difference and cost around £98.

the packaging is also a give away a little black felt bag with a lol label and one draw string is not LOL! there materials a thick cotton bag with a double draw string! in an oval box. if it is a single charm then it can be in a square box with to pieces of thin black and cream stiching ribbon.

DO not be fooled by these copys

If you are unsure wheather yours is real or not take it to an offical LOL shop/ stockist ( they can be found on the LOL website) and ask them theywill be able to tell you in minutes!

CARE FOR YOU LOL!

Do not put the bracelet in to silver dip as it will erode the elastic, use a silver cloth, as silver does tarnish quickly. is a natural effect called oxodisation. Although wearing your bracelet will help. the charms can be dip however do rinse them in warm water after and dry. be more careful with the enamel charms.!

It is recommended that you have you bracelet re-strung approx every 1-2 yrs although this will vary depending on wear, you will find the elastic becomes yellow compared to clear  and the bracelet feels slack. re-string can be done at most LOL shops and stockist however some do charge and not all shops can re -string on premises and may have to be sent away so call!!!!

Lastly enjoy the Bracelet and the wide variety of Charms!! and keep an eye open for all the limited edition ones!!!
