How to spot a fake Nintendo Ds Game.

Pictured here is a Fake Mario Ds Card

Your Genuine Uk one should look like this. Pictured below,

From the front, the pirated game Cart itself (right) looks quite similar to a real import game (in this case Pokémon Ranger, left). One subtle difference is the cutoff on the bottom left hand corner of the sticker on the fake is slightly more rounded then it should be. also the Nintendo seal of Quality isn't got the slight metallic sheen on the fake game.  Usually the official Game's Nintendo Seal of Quality Has a metallic sheen to it is especially noticeable on the games boxes.

The differences become more obvious when you turn the cart over.

also on a real one you should have a real long sets of numbers under the (NTR-005  Pat Pend) then on The PCB is a complex manufacturer code for example from my game Puzzle league DA 0-2 003-10  may differ on other Ds games

Hear we have picture of two Nintendo Ds games Back view. the counterfeit one is on your left  metallic pins on the fake are black on this one. the genuine Nintendo one is on your right. but fakes can be real good, you need eyes for detail.

Fakes can be very hard to spot, if you suspect that the game you have purchased from a seller is a fake, ask for a refund if  they refuse Report It dont suffer in silence.

I wanted to share my Views on this, because i have been sold to many counterfeit games now, and i have had enough of it. I have borrowed some info and some pictures, most of this review is my own work and photos zelda game, pokemon game & Genuine Mk DS.

I just want people to realise that this is a problem on ebay. it affects the Genuine Games seller and your self who thought you got the real deal. A lot Fake Games May not want to work after a few months like some of The Game Boy ones. Battery back up packs up and you have lost all your saves, Or Game don't work at all.

hi, I found your ds guide really helpful. but hear are another 2 give aways for fake ds games: the 'seal' is on the wrong side of the cart for tetris, and is often not round (real is on the left hand side) the cases are often black with print only on one side, where as real games have print on both sides of the cover.  This is a Help-full comment from a e bay user -superstarshaun

How to Spot a Counterfeit Game boy Advance Game

Fake game boy game some of  them have a hole cut out of the cartrage slot because the counterfeit chip is big, what i have seen the counterfeiters usually have to cut a hole.

If you have a professional tri screw driver set undo the cartrage and check out the poor cheep work man ship plus the PCB will Not have a Nintendo copy rights in Gold with a date, and some can be white Nintendo copy rights with a date.

also some cartrages like pokemon the colours are different than the genuine one. and some fake ones can be a bit larger. these fake games may damage your system because you try force the cartrage in to your system.

this is a genuine cartrage

On the left is my £15 pound fake purchase from e bay seller
and that made me very annoyed. on your Right a Genuine Gba Zelda Game that was boxed with manual.

Genuine Game boy games stickers usually have a embossed  number for example 08 that's on my zelda game the Nintendo seal of quality should have slight golden metallic shine. can be hard to spot on this zelda game as the gold is the same, metallic.

Fake Stickers are usually dull and badly printed and usually a shiny sticker, all tho there's some damn real good stickers on some of them.

Is your boxed or un-boxed Pokemon game a genuine product?

This is from a Counterfeit Pokemon Emerald, where i have ringed in red is some sort of serial number of the counterfeiters cartrage.

also in bottom picture that i have ringed, the cartrage has a small hole cut out much smaller than my zelda Counterfeit.
so these seem to very in difrent carts.

this pokemon game had a slightly bury sticker with american ESRB rating on it.

I know there's tones of ways to spot cartrage fakes but this is my little review.

Pokemon List of the genuine Nintendo Releases , not the fake games like pokemon Jade, Dark chaos.
