The Bag (Ramona, Riki)

• One of the biggest giveaways on Jimmy Choo Ramona replica is the inside lining. The interior of Ramona is made with only natural/camel/tan colour moleskin (Moleskin is a very easy to identify, durable woven cotton material.) Fake: Anything that looks like suede, canvas, satin or any other fabric that does not look like the moleskin. Lining colour other than tan natural/camel/tan.
• Pay attention to the lettering on the inside tag. Tags should be metal and the word JIMMY CHOO is made of thin, clean cut letters. The "M" from Made in Italy, should always be placed under the first "M" in JIMMY CHOO, "Y" should be under the first "O". Fake: The lettering do not show a clean cut, they are rather thick and odd looking (applies to all Jimmy Choo models)

• On the metal closure, pay careful attention to the lettering "JIMMY CHOO". The lettering JIMMY CHOO should always be centered between the screw heads (vertically AND horizontally). The fonts should look finished and centered. Pay attention to letter "H", if it looks different then "H" Jimmy Choo logo (thin and high crossed), the bag is a fake (it seems that the fakers are having a lot of trouble with centering on the closure and making the "H" right) . The locking mechanism must feel sturdy and rather heavy. Fake: Would have a hollow sound when it closes. Would feel too light and cheap made. The mechanism should not easily move upwards toward the top of the bag.

• Please check for quality of the leather. Make sure you feel your bag and smell it. A giveaway on fakes is the smell. Your bag should feel, smell and look soft. Fake: Smell could vary from plastic and chemicals and feel may be leathery but not quite. It may be tougher and harder than your soft leather authentic.
• Inside pocket zipper should be always the same colour as the bag (applies to ALL Jimmy Choo models)

• Screws on the strap closure have a flat head. Fake: The screws on the strap closure have a Phillips head. The length of the closure strap on the fake bags is about 1 inch longer.
• When is it about the dust bags and other miscellaneous items:

Authentic: Authentic dust bags are purple or lilac and Made in Italy. The lettering style should be exactly as in logo, and should read: Jimmy Choo London.
They would not wrap the handles or any piece of hardware in plastic.

Fake: Their dust bags are known to be white, tan or brown and Made in China. Lettering style is different than used in official logo, with "London" missing in most cases.
If the handles came wrapped in plastic, that would be a giveaway for a fake.

And last word of advice (as I've just seen fake Riki being offered for £799 (Buy it Now):
Just because the bag is more expensive than fakes or the seller claims that:

• the bag is used
  

• it's an unwanted gift
  

• offers the copy of the receipt,

it DOESN'T MAKE the bag genuine!
