CBeebies enchanting television programme IN THE NIGHT GARDEN aimed at pre-school children has become a huge success.
The garden is a magical place that exists in a child's immagination between sleeping and waking where a small community of characters live and care for each other, have fun together and spread love and happiness all around.
If you're as yet unfamiliar with the show, here's some character information to bring you up to speed:
IGGLE PIGGLE
Iggle Piggle is an adventurous character who is full of energy and always bouncing around. He is also a very modest character often in need of comfort which he receives from his blanket. His curiosity almost always results in sudden surprises that cause him to fall over although he gets up quickly again afterwards! He is always the last of the characters to go to bed and sleeps in his little boat of which his blanket is also used as the sail.

UPSY DAISY
Upsy Daisy is Iggle Piggle's best friend. She is a very happy and confident character and always optimistic. She loves nothing more than to sing and dance her way around the garden. Her strange little bed has a mind of it's own and you will often see her chasing it around the garden if it is not chasing her!

MAKKA PAKKA
Makka Pakka is a cute little character who lives in a cave. He sleeps on a little stone bed that has colourful bedding. He enjoys collecting and washing little stones and has a favourite one that he often takes to bed with him. He can be seen travelling around the garden on his 'Og Pog' - a type of scooter, and will often stop to wash the faces of the other characters.

THE TOMBLIBOOS
Unn, Eee and Ooo (left to right above), are the names of these three adorable characters. They live in a bush where they enjoy playing the piano, banging drums and stacking up their Tombliboo blocks. They totter around the garden as a group and their trousers often fall down unexpectedly!
**********
THE HAAHOOS
These five enormous, yet gentle pillowy type characters bound around the garden at a relaxed leisurely pace. When it's bedtime they call out to each other and meet up before sleeping in a huge pile!
**********
THE PONTIPINES
Mr & Mrs Pontipine live with their eight children in a semi-detatched house at the foot of a tree. They are all very tiny characters, and the four boys and four girls often disappear into the garden leaving Mr & Mrs Pontipine to ponder their whereabouts - which is why Mrs Pontipine always carries a pair of binoculars. They never worry about their children though as they always return home safely before bedtime. Mr Pontipine's moustache has a bizarre habit of flying off his face and landing on Mrs Pontipine!
**********
THE WOTTINGERS
Another family of ten tiny characters who live next door to The Pontipines. The two families are identical in every way except that The Wottingers wear blue clothes and The Pontipines wear red.
**********
THE TITTIFERS
These brightly coloured birds come together at the end of every episode of the television programme to create a harmony that signals bedtime for all the characters.
**********
NINKY NONK
This is a perculiar little train made up of different size and shaped carriages that whizzes around the garden. It can go through hedges, climb trees and has even been known to travel upside down along the tree branches! Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy have their own carriage, as do The Tombliboos and The Pontipines, although they often travel in eachother's.
**********
PINKY PONK
This large speckled airship has 'fins' and many landing lights. It has a gondola which enables the characters to travel in the air giving them wonderfull views of the garden. The 'ponk' light on the nose of the airship flashes green when taking off and red when landing.
