Iration Steppas meet The Dubateers - The Royal Hotel - Southend on Sea - friday August 3rd 2007.

The summer still wasn't happening, storm and floods in places.... Essex not badly hit, so down to southend.

Was a funny night for me. Had a laugh... Few drinks n that, everything cool....

This venue is in the basement of the hotel and is an awkward "shoe shape" not suited to music / performance...

and what with the no smoking rule.....

Good selection from the Dubateers, nice vibe and tunes...

Iration Steppas fresh from abroad play their distinct digi dub to usual good effect.. I remember the "war" rhythm and quite a few digital steppas. Capeable of being both concious and head-busting at the same time !? That's the Iration Steppas for you...

There was more rooms upstairs doing dance music and ting. Didn't really go up there. Too bright and bustley, not enough good tunes... loads of people queing up to get in, out, past, up , through and into the bog....
