There are a number of Irish Volunteer cap badges appearing for sale here on ebay. As a collector of thirty years I have only ever seen a handful of original cap badges to the volunteers. Reproduction volunteer cap badges are currently for sale in Dublin. The guy selling them has his badges clearly marked in his shop REPRODUCTION IRISH VOLUNTEER BADGES. Some people are buying the badges and belt buckles from him and selling them on ebay as originals. The ones he produces are Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Mayo, Clare and Tipperary. He also produces badges to the I.C.A. and female wing of the Volunteers. If you wish to pay more than 20 pounds sterling for a badge that will turn out to be a copy that's a matter for yourself. If  an original Irish Volunteer cap badge will ever turn up on ebay the chances are 1000 to 1.
