How to use your Story Sack with a class

  • Children can put objects to do with a book that they are reading into the bag during the week - the objects can then be emptied out and discussed at 'circle time' at the end of the week.
  • Objects to do with different traditional stories and fairy tales can be putinto the bag and children can pull them out and try to identify the story - eg. a bag of 'beans' for Jack and the Beanstalk.
  • A collection of objects are put into the bag and pulled out one by one by children who have to create a story around that object - or about all the objects in the bag.
  • The bag could contain a story book and a collection of objects that help to bring the story to life.
  • Or do you have a better idea?
