I have recently set up my business, Ruby Beauty. My Ebay shop is named Ruby Rouge Beauty. Having started on Ebay as a bit of a hobby I realised that there was definate potential for good earnings. I set up my registered company in September. I currently run the Ebay shop and place my products in a brochure for onward sale. After lots of researching, I finally found a couple of good UK wholesalers to stock up on higher end produce such as Clarins, Clinique, Lancome etc. It was extremely difficult to get hold of this produce so I was extremely lucky to drop on one! However, I have also been researching into importing this sort of product from abroad via dropshippers, wholesalers etc. BUYERS BEWARE!!! This is a major issue that needs to be addressed by every single first importer which no doubt the majority of people on Ebay will be doing. Basically, the Department of Trade and Industry have extremely tight guidelines as to what you can and cant bring into the country without it being tested. WARNING!!! THEY ARE LIKELY TO ISSUE A PENALTY OF £5000 AND POSSIBLE IMPRIONMENT!!! They are currently on the look out for all that are importing and selling on Ebay. Personally, if I was a customer, I would be extremely concerned about the product I was buying if it was a massive discount to what it would be on the high street. After all do you really know what is in that particular face cream. The liklihood is that your seller doesnt either. For more information log on to my shop and email me direct. I am happy to assist anyone further with this issue.
