I bought a Jane powertwin for my two girls who are 14 months apart. I was drawn to it because it was lightweight all terrain and I could use a car seat on it.
The Powertwin is a tandem pushchair, the rear seat reclines fully and is suitable for a newborn the front seat only reclines slightly so is not suitable until a child is 6 months old. It has an adjustable handle, a shopping basket underneath and It comes complete with two hoods/sunshades, a pvc raincover, and fittings for attatching the car seats with.
I initially used the pushchair with my toddler in the rear and the baby in the car seat on the front seat, as my toddler was still quite young and liked to sleep still in the buggy and we found the front seat just didnt recline enough for her to do this comfortabley. The pushchair is lovely to push incredibly light, easy to steer it folds not much bigger than a single 3 wheelers and is quite lightweight.
for me the negatives of this pushchair were that the seats were in fact quite small, my two girls were actually quite petite and I still found that they were quite cramped in ithe buggy by the time the baby outgrew the car seat. The basket although roomy was very difficult to get to. I have also heard that people who use it with a toddler in the front have found that the toddler can get their feet on the front wheel and injure themselves
Overall I would say this is one of the better tandems I have used but I do feel that because the seats are quite small it wouldnt be suitable for a child over 2 and a half and definately not a child on the larger side
