Further to the comments on buying a Japanese imported car.
I purchased a Mitsubishi Sportsgear RVR (4wd, 2.00L turbo) 7years ago. A large roomy car, little heavy on the diesel, but a great drive.
However, I now need engine parts (a set of shells) which do not carry any identification mark whatsoever so no one can identify the required replacement items. It seems that vehicles are being imported without workshop manuals etc and if they are, they would be in Japanese!
So be warned, if you are buying such a vehicle, make sure that somone in the country has a manual - in English.
What realy upsets me is that I am likely to be seeing my car - in excellent condition - being sent to the Breakers Yard.
Buyer Beware!!!
