Most of the tools and blades on Victorinox and Wenger Swiss Army knives are manufactured from high grade stainless steel, but they may still corrode if exposed to certain elements such as salt water or acids. If that happens, use wire wool to buff out the rust spots.

Avoid using excessive force and knife and saw blades. The blades are exremely tough but it is possible to bend or snap them if you push them past their limits.

Occasionally apply a light coating of machine oil to the blades. If the folding blades start to become sticky soak them in warm soapy water and them lubricate them lightly with machine oil.
