the first release of a lewis hamilton model was the mp4/22 showcar of 2007.minichamps number 530 074372,limited edition of 1,512 pieces.first released about july 2007,sold out immediately on release and achieved prices as high as £97 before settling at about £55-£80.the very low numbers of this model will effectively keep the price of this release high and may increase dramatically in value in the future.sold out at the dealers. 

MP4/21 FIRST ROLL OUT

the second release by minichamps.the mp4/21 tested by lewis at silverstone ,september 2006.minichamps number 530 064384 and again a limited edition of 2,776 pieces.this was never in the same kind of demand as the first release but was still able to command prices of up to £75,more recently the price has fluctuated between £50-£70,not usually available from the dealers and becoming rarer on ebay.

the third release was the mp4/22 .minichamps number 530 074302,first appeared during December 2007.first prices on ebay were £30-£40 but collectors quickly identified that this was easy to source as it was not a limited edition and so prices dropped rapidly to £18-£24.this model is still available from the dealers at about £24.

the mp4/22 race car was released in three guises,standard minichamps,mercedes dealer edition,and mclaren team edition.the latter two will command higher prices than the standard model.the dealer edition sells at about £40,the team edition at about £30,still available direct from vodafone mclaren international at about £25 plus postage.

July release from minichamps is the 2008 showcar,minichamps number 530084392,limited edition of 5,040 pieces.available at all the dealers still at £25-£30,be aware being a limited edition supply can dry up very quickly.

the 2008 showcar  was available at the british gp and the goodwood festival in team packaging.selling on ebay initially at £75-£100. limited to 4000 pieces.i have checked and it is not currently available from the teams webshop. selling prices for this model were in the region of £55+ during july 2008 ,however i was alerted to the fact that ALEX READE are selling this at £39.99+ postage on their internet site.my thanks to godiamknackered for that information.
