There are countless fake Lyle And Scott Polos Shirts/Jumpers/Cardigans on eBay at the moment and as the company grows in popularity the fakes grow in numbers.

I've got tired of reporting them to eBay so I though that it's time to put pen to paper and cut out the middle man, by informing the buyers of what to look out for.

Lyle & Scott - The Brand

Scottish brand, Lyle & Scott, have ended 2007 and started 2008 with the continued defence of their trademark Eagle. The label has undergone a huge renaissance following the great success of their retro 'Lyle & Scott Vintage' product.

During 2007, Lyle & Scott successfully challenged four parties for infringement of their famous Eagle, including Sainsburys and Next in the UK.

The New Year has started with a further challenge to another major High Street chain in the UK and the Scottish Heritage brand continues to fight an action against major US fashion retailer, American Eagle Outfitters.

In addition to defending the brand against infringement by other retailers, Lyle & Scott is engaged in taking steps to stop the sale of counterfeit goods on sites such as Ebay to an unsuspecting consumer.

Derrick Campbell, the Managing Director for the company said "Lyle & Scott IS the Eagle and we will continue to defend our 50 year heritage with the Eagle around the World."'

Another clear sign - The brand label

The real tag is sewn on with high quality thread at either side.

The fake tag is sew on with one continous line along the top of the tag, the thread is also of low quality.
