"Fake or Not Guide"

There are countless fake Lyle And Scott Polos Shirts/Jumpers/Cardigans on eBay at the moment and as the company grows in popularity the fakes grow in numbers.

I've got tired of reporting them to eBay so I though that it's time to put pen to paper and cut out the middle man, by informing the buyers of what to look out for.

The difficult one to spot - The item tags

The real tags are noticably darker

Again, the real one is noticably darker. Also, the white areas of the real one are clear and bright and the white areas of the fake are dull.

You'll only notice this if you've bough it - The holes of the tags on the real one have a slight indent, a sign of quality thick card. Where as on the fake one, the hold goes clear though, as the card is very thin and flimsy.

Now for the pinicity bit - The yellow string on the real one has a tighter weave than the fake string.

The materials of a real and fake jumper/cardigan

Lyle & Scott make high quality clothing and you will notice this if you compare a real item to a fake item.

The real end of the cloth on the real jumper is very thick compared to the thin cloth of the fake.

The material of real jumpers and cardigans have a tighter weave than the fakes and they also have a bit more "give" to them.
