Laserpods have been around for a few years now and over time more and more varieties have emerged. The mystical names like Nebula and Galaxy sound great, but what do they mean?

Well all Laserpods project a stream of colourful lights and red laser beams onto your wall or ceiling. They are one of the best selling mood lamps ever sold, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Laserpod Nebula

(also refered to as the 'original' laserpod)

The Laserpod Nebula has purple and blue lighting with red lasers. Packaged in a very attractive aluminium shell, it looks very stylish and is far more robust than the plastic Orb and Satellite models. The Laserpod Nebula comes with:

Laserpod Galaxy

The best selling and best looking Laserpod of them all. The Galaxy has everything that the Nebula or Original has, with the addition of amber lighting. This bright yellow glow really improves the projection of the light and creates the galaxy-like effect that you see in all Laserpod advertising. I have found that the Galaxy is able to project its light further than the Nebula at night due to this additional brightness. The Galaxy comes with:

Liquid & Smoke Diffuser

This special accessory is far larger than the diffusers you get in the Laserpod box, and has a base which allows it to be filled with a liquid or smoke of your choice. The best and most photographed effects have been created with this diffuser, and is a great present for a Laserpod fan. The diffuser comes complete with a plastic funnel to allow easy filling. Note that this can only be used with the Nebula or Galaxy aluminium Laserpods - it will not fit on the Orb or Satellite.

Orb Base Station - available in black or white

The Orb Base Stations are mounted in a plastic base, and can be turned to allow the light to project onto a wall (or you could ceiling mount them). This version does not take batteries and is quite a bit wider than the aluminium laserpods below however the light projection is the same. The Orb cannot be used with any diffuser accessories. Comes with a DC adaptor.

Orb Satellite - available in white

The satellite laserpod is mounted in white plastic with 3 telescopic poles, which allows it to be angled and tilted by adjusting the length of each leg. This version does not take batteries and is better suited to floor standing rather than standing on a table due to the length of the legs. The satellite cannot be used with any diffuser accessories. Comes with a DC adaptor.
