This Guide has been written to try to establish the Most Accurate Mintage Figures for Gold Bullion Britannia Coins which were first introduced in 1987. Mintage figures for Gold Proof Britannia Coins and Sets are relatively easy to ascertain from one or more of the Royal Mint, the Certificates of Authenticity, Krause, Spink etc.

However Accurate Mintage Figures for Gold Bullion Britannia Coins are much more difficult to find. Spink seems to give a good indication of whether or not each Gold Bullion Britannia Coin was issued or not in a particular year but has no mintage figures. The Chard website has some mintage figures for the £100(1oz) Coins 1990 to 1996. Krause does not seem to have much useful information on Gold Bullion Britannia Coins.
