Anyone ever tell you mixing Green Stuff was foolproof or easy? ... then they probably never tried sculpting or converting miniatures with it!

Here's a quick pictoral guide for those hobbyists who have yet to get familiar with the unique properties of Green Stuff...

1. Pinch off a small amount of Green Stuff

2. Twist and tear to prevent the Green Stuff being pulled out into a long stingy mess.

3. Twist the Green Stuff, fold it in half and twist again to help distribute the blue
and yellow parts evenly.

4. Mix the twisted Green Stuff between finger and thumb.
If you find it sticks to your fingers too much, wet them just a little and contimue mixing.

5. Fresh Green Stuff that has just been mixed will tear when you pull at it.
The older your Green Stuff is the more 'stretchy' and plasticy the final mix be until it
eventually becomes to old and hard to mix.

6. One small ball of newly mixed Green Stuff ready for use in Scultping
and Converting (this bit is destined to become a battleforge Halfling)

Remember you can use water to control the stickness of your Green Stuff by wetting your fingers
and sculpting tools with a little water before you start sculpting.

DO NOT USE TOO MUCH WATER, and do not mix it into your Green Stuff!
While a little water is your friend, too much water will stop your Green Stuff from sticking
to anything, including the model you are trying to convert, or any previously hardened Green Stuff
that you're trying to add detail too.

I didn't use any moisture when mixing the Green Stuff for the above photos.
Once you become familiar with the tacky qualities of fresh Green Stuff, you will find
less of a need to use moisture.

...and remember Green Stuff from theBattleforge is Factory Fresh and stored frozen!

You can extend the life of your unmixed green stuff by storing it in an airtight container
and keeping it in the freezer. Just snap off a small amount each time you want to use some.

Please see my other guides or thebattleforge website for more advice on green stuff care and use.
