There are plenty of companies advertising on the net, radio, national press & television for you to buy the latest electric scooter.
I will not mention any names of these companies, some offer a good service but in my experience with one company that advertises electric beds and scooters i was informed that i was entered into a draw to win a scooter, but if it was okay for a rep to visit my home to talk to me to cut a long story short the rep was in my home for three hours and refused to leave until a sale was agreed in the end we had to get a few neighbours to assist in getting the rep out of our home.
I'm not saying that all these companies use strong armed practice to sale a product but it is bad enough living with a disability & having to deal with this type of pressure selling.
Did you know that if you are in receipt of the disability living allowance (DLA)
at the higher rate with a two year or more award you could opt for a new scooter
Or a vehicle on the Motability Scheme.
With the mobility component of the award used towards the monthly payment of the lease.
For more information or if you are interested why not visit the Motability website at:
Motability.co.uk
I in no way work for this company which is a registered charity & supported by the government and the car industry.
I'm just a happy disabled customer who enjoys the freedom & independence my car gives me.
I hope this guide proves useful, if it does
