Further to the earlier guide on these sets.

I have found that the DCS and Fleetcom(TM) facilities do NOT work on these sets.

It is TRUE that the ctcss is not programmed when they arrive in the UK, but CTCSS IS OPERABLE and can be programmed on a "Per Channel" basis.

The statement that the "Software is unavailable" is incorrect.

I have found that KPG87D works with these sets.

Be aware that the supplied interface leads are generally faulty, but a genuine Kenwood interface lead DOES work on these imports.

You are reminded that these sets ARE NOT APPROVED for use in the UK, being neither CE marked, or ETSI approved. You run the risk od prosecution if cought using these sets in the UK.
