Hello there !   Have you ever been "had" by the Royal Mail post offices charges?  it can teach you a valuable lesson regarding posting items overseas ......................... Read on

If you have a package that goes over 2kgs in weight, you are in for a shock !  the Royal Mail charges for the service, rise through the ceiling !

I sent out a small tea set to Italy, and charged an amount i thought to be reasonable and would cover packaging costs to boot.................... Wrong................ it actually came to £10.00 over and i lost out big time. The parcel was over 2kgs.

I also sent a small tea set to the US, and again charged what i thought to be reasonable...................... this time it came to a staggering £20 over !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not ask the buyers for more as it was entirely my own fault, but i learned alot from both episodes !!

I realised, a little late but never mind, that it would be far cheaper to send items such as this in two or even three parts. Two boxes would weigh below 2kgs, therefore would be charged at a more realistic price.

Dont post overseas if the item is over 2kgs and cannot be split.

A USEFUL SITE TO VISIT IS THE ROYAL MAIL PRICE CALCULATOR FOR YOUR WORLDWIDE POSTAL CHARGES. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG IF YOU USE THIS SERVICE.

Just type in royal mail into your search engine

THOUGHT I'D SHARE THAT WITH YOU, PLEASE VOTE YES IF YOU FOUND IT HELPFUL

REGARDS
