Near Side, Off Side Explained.

 

Off Side = The Drivers Side of the Car, often shorten to O/S.

Near Side = The Passenger Side of the Car, often shorten to N/S.

An easy way to remember is Near Side is nearest the kerb, hence, Near Side.
