I have come out of hospital and am unable to do much at all, so started sewing then decided to do cross stitch to make a change.

I find it easier to do a printed Aida this gives me a better chance to get stitches in the right place,and will then look good. If I need help I ask my daughter to check it and she will point out what I have done wrong but will sit with me while I undo it and try again.

Magnifing glass is great as long as you don't have a window behind you as this will make it hard to see your work.

A stand is a very good idea but only if you have room for one.

all I can now say is enjoy yourself and don't over do it.
