I'm sure a lot of people, including myself, enjoy helping people & offering assistance. Even if a guide I write only helps one person, I'll be happy.

I have written some helpful guides which contain useful, money saving information - the sort of information scammers, rip off merchants, rogues and the like make vast sums of money SELLING to unfortunate ebayers who don't know any better.

Sadly, these muppets not only get rich from selling grossly over priced products which you can pick up on the high street at a fraction of the price (then LIE in their description to make a sale), they also give honest & genuine ebayers like myself a bad rep by leaving negative votes on "how to guides". One such guide I have written can save people over £30 on a "tool" which you don't even need... this guide by the way, cost me nothing - I copied the text from the owner's handbook I got with my car!!

If you write a guide about rip off postage costs, it's the idiots that rip people off who find it "unhelpful"

If you write a "how to" guide, it's the ones who rip people off by selling FREE information via e-mail who find it "unhelpful"

If you write a guide on how to spot a fake item, it's the sellers of the fake items who find it "unhelpful"

If you write a guide on how to spot a scam, it's the scammers who find it "unhelpful"

If you write a guide on how to obtain a "rare & hard to find" accessory for a car, include details of where to get it, include a part number & price, and an expected waiting time should it be out of stock with the dealer, it's the rip-off merchants who sell the item for 3 times the RRP through their lies & bulls**t who find it "unhelpful"

You get the idea... if you see a guide with a low "helpfulness" rating, don't just assume it's a load of crap. It'll be the fakes, scammers, rip-off merchants, con men & low life who have been rumbled and highlighted by genuine ebayers who are doing their best to warn others & keep ebay a safe trading place, who have posted the negative votes!
