These inhalers were what I used to stop smoking because they use the hand to mouth action aswell as deliver nicotine. They were given to me on perscription from my doctor. Some doctors might only give a perscription if you go on a course but some do without. I think the course is good and helpful to do if you can. A word of warning, I am addicted to these inhalers but at least I have no tar or smell now: And if you go back to cigarettes don't worry, its not unusual to make a couple of attempts to stop for good. Give up again and always have the method of support you used to give up with you if you have the urge. And Boots do their own brand, NicAssist, and I don't think you'll notice the difference except the price is less.
