Flashplates Limited has been making number plates and show signs for many years. 

We are justifiably proud of our reputation as a supplier of high quality plates and signs at competitive prices.

We have designed a website site to display our wide range of plates and optional extras.

Please remember custom number plate designs are for "show purposes" only and not for use on the public road.

We manufacture our plates from BS compliant acrylic in any size for cars and motorbikes.

Please Note, we do not sell registration numbers (marks), we only make the number plates.

Do you manufacture plates in unusual shapes such as those used on Rovers?

Yes, we offer a number of unusually shaped plates such as plates for Jaguar S-Types, Rover 75s and Jaguar X-Types.

Is it safe to enter my credit card details on your site?

Your privacy matters. All payment pages are encrypted, and we don't store your credit card details. Your card details are either taken on secure servers via nochex or Paypal.

I don't know my plate sizes but know my vehicle's make and model; can you tell me what plates I need?

No we urge all customers to measure the current plates on the vehicle before ordering.

Do you pre drill plates?

No we do not pre-drill plates as the hole positions vary from vehicle to vehicle.

How do we manufacturer our plates?

There are Two approved BSAU145d number plate systems:

1) Acrylic + reflective - Where digits are applied to reflective and then laminated to acrylic - This is the traditional type since 1972.

2) Laser graphic bonded between acrylic and reflective - This is new laser graphic plate since 2003.

We manufacture both types - depending upon type of "colour content" requirement of the customer. Mainly Laser graphic is used when a "blend colour border" is required as this is impossible to produce on the traditional system. Otherwise as a general rule of thumb the traditional system is used with end logos/badges pre-printed on polyester and borders screen printed

Please Note: We Do not use the cheaper method unlike many main dealers and supplier where the laser graphic film is applied to coloured plates as these have a tendency to suffer the elements of the sun and rain, hence give a pealing bubble effect (this is know as a 2 part system and we produce our plates using the 3 part system)

How do I know my order is being processed?

We send an email confirming order, payment and then another email to advise of dispatch including the tracking ref

What colour are a front and rear plate?

The Front is white and the Rear is yellow

Do you take telephone orders?

To help eliminate errors, we prefer our customers to submit all orders online. If there are any queries we would contact you, so please make sure you include a day time contact number.

My order confirmation email shows my registration in Lowercase letters; will it be made that way?

No all this means is that you have entered your details in lowercase letters. All registrations are printed in uppercase letters. However your slogan WILL be printed as you have entered it on our SIGNS.

I'm looking for a bedroom sign for my Son / daughter with his / her name and photograph on; can you help me?

Yes, please email us with your full requirements and picture file for a preview.

Why do you want my telephone number?

To put Plates onto a vehicle, you must already own the Registration Number and have it registered to your vehicle with the DVLA. We accept no responsibility for the improper use of these plates
