OFFICIAL RADLEY ACCESSORIES - YOU MUST BE JOKING! : eBay Guides

Unfortuately there are currently many unscrupulous sellers on ebay using the RADLEY brand name to attract the attention of potential buyers when upon closer inspection it is revealed that the item being offered for sale is either an inferior copy of one of their original designs or possibly a product that they have never even produced!

A quick browse on ebay this morning and I was able to easily find the examples shown below all of which were being sold using the RADLEY name in the title of the listing. Quite clearly (as you will see), these products are not official RADLEY items and in fact (please be warned) some are quite ridiculous!

FAKE RADLEY PURSE

This small FAKE purse stands out from the genuine article. The appliqued dog is embossed with the wording 'RADLEY' when actually it is only ever the individual dog shaped swing tags that accompany official RADLEY bags that have this feature (see the genuine example below). Official RADLEY purses have the wording embossed below the appliqued dog or sometimes on the reverse side and NEVER on the appliqued dog.

Compare this example to the genuine pink RADLEY dog-tag already featured in this guide and the differences are obvious. Although the actual shape of the dog has been carefully copied the maker has failed to emboss the RADLEY brand name onto the tag which should be enough to raise anybody's suspicions. In addition the rivett used for the eye is far too large and the collar is also too wide.

Well I did warn you that some of these examples were ridiculous! But, yes, this one has also been offered for sale on ebay using the RADLEY brand name to attract potential buyers.

FAKE RADLEY JEWELLERY

To date RADLEY have neither made or endorsed any jewellery products and yet many can currently be found for sale on ebay. These examples include a gold pendant & chain, brooches & pin badges and even FAKE TIFFANY & CO products (see below) which are also being offered for sale using both the RADLEY and TIFFANY brand names.  

Please be aware that this guide is in no way refering to the family business website radley-jewellery who do make jewellery which is nothing to do with the RADLEY handbag and accessories company.

FASHION ACCESSORIES

This scottie dog chain belt is another product that actually has no connection with the RADLEY brand despite what the person offering it for sale may state in their auction listing. Neither has the colourful handbag charm shown below.
