You may find you get an email that appears to come from Paypal which tells you that your account has been restricted to a low financial figure. Or it might tell you that they need to update the records they hold on you and if you do not update it within three days they will close your account.
Another favourite is to tell you that there has been some strange activity on your account and you are told to sign in to verify this.
The email will have some links in it and will appear to be completely genuine.
IGNORE IT
It is malicious and is designed to make you go to a false Paypal website so that your account name and password can be stolen and used for fraudulent purposes.
If you really are concerned that it might be genuine then go to your Paypal account by opening a new browser window and putting the Paypal website address in yourself. When you get to your Paypal account you will be able to see if Paypal has genuinely been trying to contact you.
NEVER follow any link that is an email which you were not expecting or which makes no sense to you.
