If you make your Feedback Profile private, your Feedback comments will be hidden from other members. (They will still be able to see the number of positive, neutral and negative Feedback you’ve received.)

Important: If you have a private Feedback Profile, you will not be able to sell items on eBay.

eBay strongly encourages members to keep Feedback Profiles public so that everyone can benefit from Feedback other eBay members have left.

Thankfully the police can search the private feedback and bring the rip offs to book by monitoring the actions of false bids / bid retractions and the shill bidding that goes on.
