Introduction

As the worlds fossil fuels run out, the cost of heating our homes in winter continues to drastically increase year on year. The average UK household throws out 500kg of waste per person annually, of which approximately half* consists of paper and cardboard packaging.  Paper based products are manufactured from wood, and are therefore a great form of free combustible fuel. Burning paper directly is extremely inefficient and creates large amounts of ash, but when compressed into briquettes can efficiently burn for 1-2 hours leaving virtually no ash.  In compressed form paper will burn just as good as a store bought briquettes or wood logs.

It couldn't be easier to conserve forests, reduce landfill and save on heating costs by using the paper log maker.

Instructions for use

Step 1 & 2

Soak paper thoroughly.
Roll sheets of paper into a loose ball and pack as much as possible into container.

Step 3 & 4

Place press on top of wet paper.
Bring handles over to rest on metal bars as illustrated and press firmly to remove as much moisture as possible.

Step 5

Remove press and sieve from logmaker.

Step 6

Gently pull sides of sieve apart and shake out the brick.
Allow to dry.
