Too much choice?

First of all you should consider what you will use the pram for – certainly to carry your baby in it but will you use it mostly in the city on asphalt streets or in the countryside on metalled roads? Do you often transport the pram by car or do you frequently use public means of transport? How old is your offspring, should the pram be suitable to take prolonged naps or do you only need it for dependability when your child doesn´t want to walk anymore? Are all persons who will push the pram almost equally tall or do you need a height-adjustable handle? How large is your car boot and the storage place for the pram at home? Do you want to go shopping with it?

The obsolete classicist

Neonates are lying most of the day, it is important to purchase a comfortable and wind- and weather resistant pram. The classic pram offers high sleeping convenience to your baby but with the disadvantages that it will soon get too small and that it is by far the most bulky version. As soon your baby learns to sit, she naturally wants to experience more of the environment – therefore BAMBINO WORLD offers 2in1 prams that can be used from birth on until the end of the pushchair time.

How many wheels?

Dimension and quantity of wheels depend on your favourite routes and your sportive ambitions. Large wheels prove themselves on unsurfaced roads and terrain. If you want to go jogging or inline-skating, we recommend so called “Trikes”; prams with 3 big wheels. As the ones with a fixed front wheel sometimes are hard to steer, BAMBINO WORLD offers models with a swivelling front wheel.

Tip: If you use the pram mostly in the city where you have to manoeuvre through shopping centers and crowds of people, a model with four small wheels is the very thing for you and your child.

Tip: The light and compact buggies stand out for their low weight, their small space requirements and their cost effectiveness. However buggies can only be used for children who are able to sit for a considerable time.

Shopping, cars and parking places

It is important that the pram offers enough storage place for all the things that you permanently have to carry with you for your child. Pay attention to use the storage place under the seat; a handle, overloaded with bags and purchases has already unbalanced prams and their inmates.

If you plan to go by car a lot of times and your offspring is too young to sit by herself, a “drive & walk system” (pushchair with baby carrier) could be a good thing for you. The important advantage is that your baby doesn´t awake when you get in or out of the car. And don´t underestimate the heaviness of a baby carrier with the baby in it – when you use a drive & walk system you don´t always have to carry it. But your baby should not permanently sleep in a baby carrier – she principally needs naps with free movement.

Your car is important when choosing the pram – in any case fathom the possibilities of your car boot. Also doors and storage space can become unexpectedly narrow - in case of doubt ask for the dimensions.
