'The Worlds most advanced DAB radio’ has finally arrived from PURE - World Leaders in DAB Digital Radio. Whether it’s the kitchen, garden, bedroom or lounge the Evoke-3 is sure to compliment it’s surroundings in every way. In true PURE Evoke tradition the E3 features LCD display (larger than the older Evoke-2 model), showing 6 lines of information, whilst tuned in to your desired station one is able to see all the broadcast text in an instant, so there’s no getting away from knowing all the latest in news reports, weather forecasts, sports results etc.

On un-boxing the PURE Evoke-3 it will be in it’s ‘virgin’ state, a simple Autoscan whilst powered will be necessary (with the telescopic aerial fully extended) to search for all the DAB stations available in your area. The aerial is thankfully removable for those that need to connect the Evoke-3 to an external DAB aerial antennae.

One of the main features of the Evoke-3 is the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) -this allows one to create their own recording timetable using a programme listings guide (very similar to sky+)

The Evoke-3 is the Video Recorder of the radio world, offering timed and manual recordings, and with the PURE REVU technology one can pause and rewind up to 40 minutes of live radio.

The Evoke-3 also features SD card slot, so all your favourites can record straight to SD media (PURE favours and recommends Sandisk, Viking and Panasonic SD cards to be best compatible with the Evoke-3)

There's also a line-out socket to connect external speakers, but as the sound quality from the Evoke-3's built-in speakers is rich and balanced you're unlikely to need this except in large rooms.

Using the aux-in socket you can connect an external audio player, The Evoke-3 is also able to display ID3 tag information.

All recordings are in the mp2 format, but with the Easy CD-DA software available on the PURE Digital website, this converts recordings to other file formats including mp3.

A USB socket at the rear of the radio makes it easy to manage files on the SD card and upgrade the radio's firmware.

Evoke-3 comes with a fully featured remote control handset with which you can access the 99 digital radio station presets or 24 FM radio presets.

Other features include a radio/mp3 alarm and a touch-sensitive snooze handle.
