Utility Quads

Quadzilla JOW300E or  Honda 420ES

If your trying to decide on a utility quad then do read on.....

I work on a large private estate and need a reliable utility quad to help me on a daily basis with a small trailer.

I purchased a Quadzilla in person from a local dealer who assured me the jow 300e was a utility vehicle and would be perfect for my needs.

I owned the Quadzilla for 3 months during which time the chain required constant tightening, brake cables required constant adjustment, indicator switch got stuck whilst indicating left, stuttered and stalled in reverse, juddered occasionally when turning corners. It sounded and felt like it had just one gear, I was told this vehicle was fitted with a cvt system which was like an automatic, perhaps this was not working but I never once heard or felt anything changing, it was one tone with a constant increase in noise the more I applied the throttle.
This vehicle was garaged at night but the last straw for me was one day when it was out in a shower it would not start on the electrics and to use pull cord was back breaking!
After many phone calls I found the back up service and 1 year warranty worthless. After a week of false promises of engineer coming out to look at it for me I decided to look at it myself and traced starting problem to water in the starter motor. In my opinion this vehicle was not suitable for my requirements so I sold it and bought myself a new Honda 420 es.

I have had my Honda for 3 months, the same amount of time as i had the quadzilla but the new honda has not once shown any sign of faults, nor required any adjustments or let me down, no wonder Honda give a 2 year warranty!
I purchased my Honda from Dalton’s ATV on the internet, these guys are excellent.
I am very pleased with my Honda experience; this does have gears and a lot more power.

The quadzilla was road legal I used it to go into town on several occasions. I am very surprised as to how these can be classed as legal.  It has no diff, therefore both rear wheels are constantly driving, to try and turn a corner is very tricky as the vehicle wants to go straight ahead! The Honda is not road legal but turns where you want it to with a much tighter turning circle.

I have learnt my lesson, please don’t make the same mistake!!
