I tried eyelets and spent ages messing and it was too noisy for me, I don't do noisy!  Anyway when I discovered quicklets from the Eyelet Outlet my life was complete (well not quite!)

To set quicklet simply hold setter upright on eyelet back.  Press down and pivot tool.  Pre-scored shaft will split and flatten.  Sets with most ordinary setters or with the Eyelet Outlet Quicklet Setter.  No hammer required.
