This series forms part of the Rainbow Magic books, 1-7 were the rainbow fairies  and this series- the weather fairies  are books 8 - 14. It is best to read the weather fairy books in chronological order as the story builds on what has gone before. This series follows the adventures of Rachel and Kirsty during a week as they rescue the weather feathers from the evil clutches of Jack Frost's mean goblins.

These are a great series of books for 6 year olds upwards as they all have an exciting, fast paced story. They have about 6 chapters which end on  exciting notes and cliff hangers. These are a great introduction to "chapter" books because the chapters are short and fast moving and because there aren't too many chapters; if you were reading a chapter a night you would have finished the story within a week. For a child starting to read independently they provide a great incentive to read because they are exciting and short enough for the child to be able to achieve success.

My daughter loves them and many customers have daughters who are desperate to read the next adventures of Rachel and Kirsty.
