While browsing the many listings in the Antiques section. I keep on seeing the word 'rare' in the Titles of many items. When most of the items are regulary seen at fairs and auction houses across the nation!

So what does Rare actually mean?

I checked the Oxford dictonary  It seems to think that a rare is:

'Few and far between,uncommon, unusual, exceptional, seldom found or occuring'

So have the boffins at Oxford have got it all wrong?
