Having spent a good while yesterday searching for clothing for work, I was apalled to discover just how excessive some sellers postage costs are! Being a seller myself I couldn't believe what some people were charging! Even if you were posting to Outer Mongolia it wouldn't cost that much!
Myself & lots of other sellers pride ourselves on charging just enough to cover postage, packing & maybe a small handling charge, but some sellers are taking advantage by charging more than double the cost of sending items!
My advice is always take a good look at P & P before bidding or buying, even if the item is something you really want. Chances are that there will be a similar item for sale at reasonable postage costs!!
UPDATE! 8th September 2007
I thought I had seen the highest postage costs until today! A lightweight top & others on sale by same seller with a P&P cost of £4.95!!! Madness!! Unsurprisingly, no bidders at all.

Hi again all!
It still amazes me how many sellers seem to think that between £4.00 - £5.00 is a reasonable postage cost for t-shirts/blouses & flimsy strappy tops!
Even postage for children's clothing is high on the smallest & lightest of items!
But it seems that some buyers are still quite prepared to pay these costs. Still waiting for these buyers to become more realistic!
