SKODA PARTS BUYERS GUIDE

BUYING PARTS FOR OLDER CLASSIC MODELS

1. When buying parts for the older models, it is sometimes important to make sure the parts you are buying are not very old shelf life stock as this can be as bad as buying second hand. Certain components on the parts can perish for example:

Rubber can go hard and brittle on parts such as track rod ends, ball joints and Carburettors. Also on Carburettors, if they have been on the shelf for a long time it may be necessary to strip the carburettor down and rebuild it using new seals and gaskets. You may as well buy a new rebuild kit and rebuild your old carburettor it is much cheaper. The same goes for Cylinders such as Brake master cylinders, clutch cylinders etc. Many parts have been stored in old damp stores and the damp can very often get inside cylinders and form rust. There are many parts on the older rear engined Skoda's which you need to be careful when buying old shelf life stock.

JORILY SKODA PARTS now has strong ties with Czech wholesalers and can source most parts for all Classic Skoda's.
