GERRY ANDERSON FANS  BEWARE Of 1960s STINGRAY from CHINA

Today  2nd AUGUST 2006 in the Toys and games catagory I found a

1960s Lincoln STINGRAY Toy (Funnily enough located in Lincolnshire UK)

 THIS ITEM WAS GENUINELY AVAILABLE FOR AUCTION

BUT - BUT - BUT - BUT - BUT - BUT - BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE

THERE WERE TWO SIMULAR ITEMS LISTED FOR AUCTION/BUY  IT NOW IN CHINA THAT MAY BE RIP OFF.

I Believe THE Photo used in the CHINA Listings was Stolen from the Lincolnshire UK Listing as is the discription Word For Word.

Takeing  a look at the sellers Feed Back ALL WERE FROM PEOPLE WITH (0)FEEDBACK.

One Pair of  I.D.s were identical except the last letter.

CLICK on an ITEM number that the supposed Seller is supposed to have bought or sold and all you will get is a item discription full of - ???##~~???**:@|:**????

I have eMailed my concerns to the uk seller and to eBay.

12 noon 3rd August 2006 - The TWO OFFENDING ITEMS APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED BY eBAY 

2pm 3rd August 2006  - The GENUINE UK Item appears to have sold successfully

THIS IS JUST A WARNING TO PROSPECTIVE BUYERS BE CAREFUL CHECK FEEDBACK THOROUGHLY !!! DON'T GET RIPPED OFF !!!

1. Check Feedback rating
2. Check ALL Feedback (from Buyers, Sellers and Left for Others)
3. Check the feedback of people who have left feedback for your proposed Seller/Buyer.
4. Check that the items bought and sold by the people(see 1.& 2.) were genuine by clicking the item numbers on the feedback page.
5. Don't be afraid to contact the people who left feedback (just click their I.D on the feedback page).
6. Insist on RECORDED or signed for on Delivery postage with insurance (especially with more expensive items . The cost of an extra pound or two could save a lot of grief later).Normal post? GET Proof of posting.
7. Always ask sellers for a VERIFIABLE Postal Address and do your best to check it out. (phone book ,internet etc.)
8. Ask Sellers to eMail you when they have put the item in the post (and give you the tracking number if there is one).
9. Let Sellers and Buyers know you have recieved the GOODS or PAYMENT Communication is GOOD.
10. If all is well leave positive feedback.
